supplied as is. The author disclaims all warranties, expressed or implied,
including, without limitation, the warranties of merchantability and of fitness
for any purpose. The author assumes no liability for damages, direct or conse-

Kordcalc is a "shareware program" and is provided at no charge to the user for
evaluation. Feel free to share it with your friends, but please do not give it
away altered or as part of another system. The essence of "user-supported"
software is to provide personal computer users with quality software without
high prices, and yet to provide incentive for programmers to continue to
develop new products.
If you find this program useful and find that you are using Kordcalc and
continue to use Kordcalc after a reasonable trial period, you must make a reg-
istration payment of $25.00 to HaackWare. The $25.00 registration fee will
license one copy for use on any one computer at any one time.
You are encouraged to pass a copy of Kordcalc along to your friends for
evaluation. Please encourage them to register their copy if they find that
they can use it. All registered users will receive a copy of the latest
version of the Kordcalc system.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Page 3
Operation of Kordcalc Guitar Chord calculator is very self explanatory.
To start the program, move to the drive and directory containing the kordcalc
program and type 'kordcalc' at the DOS prompt, then press return.
C:\>kordcalc
(your prompt may look a little different, but don't worry)
Upon starting the program, you will see the introductory screen (and the
shareware screen if you're not a registered user, tsk tsk). Press any key
to get through these screens and you will be presented with the Kordcalc
main menu screen. At the top of the menu screen is the 'Current Chord'
window. This window displays the name of the chord currently selected
for viewing. To change the current chord, simply move the small checkmark
to the appropriate key (C through B along the left side of the screen)
or chord and press the insert key. Once you have selected the chord you wish
to view, move the checkmark to 'VIEW' and press insert (or simply press
'v') and the chord you have chosen will be displayed in three different
positions. To leave the view screen, press return, and you will return
to the main menu screen.
To exit Kordcalc, move the checkmark to 'QUIT' and press insert (or press
'q').
Kordcalc will display 3 different fingerings for 31 types of chords in all
12 keys, for a grand total of 1116 chords! (wow! only 25 bucks?!)
